Well, in a few weeks I'll be heading out to Lebanon, MO for a work thingy and I think I've decided to just ride there. Just started mulling this over last night so I don't have any real plans yet but could use any input on routes from the Cincinnati, OH area out to there.

Not so much worries about the timeframe as I coud always take a couple days to get there and back just don't want to slab it. Fun, scenic, technical...I don't care...just so long as it's nice..maybe varied and no slab.

Will most likely leave on a Saturday sometime and get there on Monday.

Any ideas on some good roads between Cinci and Leb,MO ?

No advice on the trip, as I live in Texas. But I just got back from Lebanon (Bennett Spring State Park), and I would have killed to have had my FJR there. I actually thought about trying to rent a bike, any bike, just to ride some of the roads around the state park. Have fun!

Unfortunately, Kansas will be pretty uneventful for you. It starts to get scenic in the NE part of the state. Give me a hollar if you cross over the KC area. As far as routes go, Kansas landscape is about as dynamic as the geography on the moon. Nebraska might be better. Good luck and have a safe trip! B)

Well, you could take the Ohio River Scenic Byway down to Paducah, then cut over to Cape Girardeau, MO and come accross Hwy 32 towards Lebanon. You'll be cutting through prime riding territory in Missouri, right hrought the heart of Hooterville 400 territory!

Smitty could map you a better route than I through there.

Calling Smitty? :yahoo:

Run down towards Louisville and get on Indiana 62. From Evansville In. to Missouri you will have to be content with straight boring roads. As suggested above, Missouri 32 will get you to where you are headed with several good roads off 32 to ride. Look for DD which is just east of 32 and 47. Also KK just west of 32 and 47. Be sure to stop in Bixby at the store there and have a bite to eat and say hi to Bridgit. We have a saying here, "All roads lead to Bixby". All the roads in that area are good so you cant go wrong. These three certainly some of the best in the state.
