Heated grips

Hello, I have obtained a set of Showchrome heated grips. I understand on the 06 models there is a plug already existing under the cowling to plug into. Do anyone know if this exists in the 05 model?

Don't know from experience, but would guess that if factory heated grips were an option for the "05, it would be there.

Missed the first thread and Nova flyers excellent installation. I'm buying a set for my 06.

Put a set of the show chrome's on my 06 last weekend. I didn't find a direct plug-in and wired them to the battery with the supplied fused cable. I used Nova flyers instructions as well.

There is no plug for heated grips on the Gen 1 FJRs. The 'Yamaha' grips are actually universal grips and uses pigtails to pick up power at the brake wires on the handle bar and ground from a connector folded in a harness near the steering head.
