Although it's an impressive display of balance, there's little risk of death, unlike the German.
Cool publicity stunt. But I can't believe they let a reporter stand under it as it was dangling in air.
And anybody else notice the operator was bare-headed? Ouch.
+1 Good stunt but I'm guessing any operator with a few hours under their belt could do that. Hell, I bet I could do that (albeit not as fast.) Did anyone else notice the red latching device used to lock the machine in place on each step? And video camera surely used for operator verificationAfter paying those track hoe fellas a few time to do work for me, I have to say that is a good stunt. But as a tool maker, the engineering of the tower and plate on the hoe is what is really impressive.
Firstly, if you had to pay for that equipment, you'd charge a friggin fortune too. It's the equipment that costs more so than the labour. Secondly, not so much ***** and giggles as Marketing!I'm now convinced that heavy equipment operators charge too much. Hard to believe they'd take the risk of damaging/stressing their machinery just for ***** and giggles.
