Hey John,
WELCOME, from Northern California (Redwood Country).
Appears you and I ride the same two 2-Wheelers.
My Gen 1 is a blue 2005 and my Serow (Yamaha XT 225) is a 2004. These bikes are like my two best friends as we certainly enjoy lots of fun and adventure together.
I do envy your rear disc AND kick start on that Serow.
Nice bikes!

Hello Rusty, well what a coincidence, gen1 FJR and a Serow225.

I do a reasonable amount of trail riding on the Serow. I'm often the smallest bike in a group of six, but I work it hard and hold my own.

Hello Rusty, well what a coincidence, gen1 FJR and a Serow225.
My FJR appears to be a twin to yours, but our Serows are just cousins. Ya know, if I was forced to give up one of these two, I’m not sure which I would choose.
Did you ever imagine that at this age we would be having this much fun?
