That was a bad situation all around but if that truck driver wasn't paying attention it could have been much worse.

He didn't jump off. He grabbed brakes an went down.

I did the same thing in a similar situation.

Downed bike in front of him, more riders along to his right so he couldn't go to the right and an oncoming semi tractor to his left.
