Has anyone ever used the Helmet Guardian to secure their helmets? Or do you have something better?

The one which attaches to license plate, several riders have those.

The issue is the helmets will touch the exhaust when hung from the Guardian.

I bought the helmet locks that attach to the license plate bracket... I think I got it through Twisted Throttle (Guardian? not sure). Anyway, it comes with two locks/keys so I left one on the Lic Plate bracket and installed the other using the the bracket from the link above... the lockset fit perfectly and now I can lock my lid either in the very back or on the left side below the seat. It's nice to have those options if my top case is full (first choice for short-term helmet storage).

Regards,

Mr. BR

What puppychow said. I have the Helmet Guardian and really liked it on another bike I owned, on the FJR not so much. It does its job, but i don't like how the helmets rest against the exhaust pipes.

Check these out, made by a forum member and very good quality!

Another vote for the Townsend brackets. One plus is when only hanging one on the left side, with the bike on the side stand, the helmet "blends" in with the side case, making it bit less conspicuous.
