If you have an ES model get a bracket form Townsend, He makes one specifically for the right side. I like this set up as it lets the helmet rest on the heat shield and facing inward/downward so no worry about rain or birds. Just make sure the lock is properly oriented to your ignition key. When I bought the Yamaha lock it was apparently for the GenI key pattern. If anyone with a GenI needs a helmet lock I will sell you mine at a good price and then buy the correct one for my bike.
