Not sure how I did it. Built in mouse pad on the laptop, a fat left palm, right handed, everything draped over the edge of the keyboard at once - I managed to inadvertently drag my start button and tool bar all the way to the top of my screen. Now, for the life of me, I can't get it back to the bottom where I want it. Anyone know how to do this? You're all the most computer savvy people I know...

Just grab the bar back to the bottom.

Directions:

Right button click on task bar.

Uncheck "lock task bar".

Left button click on task bar, hold, and drag task bar back to bottom.

Right button click on task bar.

Check "Lock task bar".

Open beer!

Good luck FJRpig. As usual, if you or any of the IM Force is cut we'll disavow any knowledge of you. This post will self destruct in 5 seconds....

hold the left button down under the touch pad, while having the mouse pointer in the toolbar area and drag the bar back to the bottom. you can put the bar in any of the 4 sides.

Task bar is not locked, your solution is something I tried immediately after it happened and it didn't work. Thanks anyway...

This doesn't work either. It only comes down halfway and I can't get it to either side. It is really FUBAR for some reason.
