A long ass ride to Sacramento CA from the farthest reaches of Oregon, did it in 11 1/2 hours.
Left on Monday and returned on Thursday. Man it was a long ride at the speed limit on state route 97. Too many troopers on the holiday weekend. The weather from Hermiston was in the 60's and by the time I hit Weed CA, the temp went up to 85. When I made it down to Red Bluff CA it was 99.
When I headed back on Thursday it was 100 degrees. The trip from friend’s house in Sacramento took 12 hours. The average mileage was about 40 MPH. For the over 600 mile ride I made a few stops for the high grade Chevron. I put in a tank of Shell V-Power and with the high temps in the Sacramento Valley the engine would ping at take off. Had much better results with the Chevron Premium.
So here are a few pictures of the trip. I drove from Hermiston Oregon to Gridley California in about eleven (11) hours.
(Well I thought I could post them, Need Help with that issue.)
