Sorry, I've been a bit rude and never introduced myself. Am over in Ireland, picked this '15 up three months ago, have just over 2300 miles added since, 18,700 on it now.

Last few bikes were an '01 Xrv750 I ran for 11 years, an '02 blackbird for 10 years, and a moto Guzzi Stelvio for 2, all great bikes.

I tend to hold onto bikes for years and not change too often, unless i hate them (Suzuki 125, '99 Triumph tiger etc). The fjr was nearly going due to whine but have it sorted now. Gratuitous pic of it outside local pub..

Welcome!
What is that colour? Hard to tell from the photo, but it appears to be some sort of bronze. Matte paint?
Anyway, not something I have seen before.

Welcome from Tucson Arizona USA, You are in the only place I truly would like to visit. see were The great Granddad was born. Beautiful FJR very interesting color, have not seen it before. You mentioned the FJR has a wine and its all resolved. what did you do or did you finally just get used to it. Mine has it also between 51 and 61 miles per hour. Just like my old Concours 14.

Screen deflector was magnifying the usual whine by a lot, took it off and its now bearable. Where abouts was the great grandad from?

Welcome. Enjoy your 2015 FJR. Never seen that color here in the States. Real nice. I just purchased a 2015 FJR with 12k miles and selling my 07 (Color Black Cherry, listed on this forum). While attending my cousins wedding in Cork July 2019, I had the opportunity to rent a couple of Binelli’s and go touring with my Brother in Law. Here's a couple of photos about to cross Connors Pass into Dingle. From there we went to Killarney and stayed the night. It took a little while to adjust driving on the opposite side of the road, but it was a great experience.

I imagine Yamaha tests their models in wind tunnels so that any 'extra' gear may interfere. Don't know about that other guy, but *my* Grandmother was from Wexford (Cavanaugh) and married into the Quigley family, another good Irish name I believe!

Visited Ireland twice in the past but would love to return, with an FJR!

Cheers,
