High Tech "Fuse" Block

I've been following the development of a full solid-state power distribution unit over on ADVRider: HERE

In a nutshell, its a replacement for accessory fuse-blocks that is remotely controllable via iOS and Android devices over Bluetooth.

I have no association with the developer, I'm just helping to spread the word because I really want one!

Why would you want something complex in a place of such importance on the bike? What do you do to trouble shoot it if it fails at 3am out 125 miles (or more) from the nearest town?

Flashlight in your teeth, a few bits of stuff you carry on the bike, a screw driver, a pair of needle nose pliers and it starts raining.

And why were points replaced by an ecu?
