Highway Pegs

I have "heel" pegs on my HD softail makes it feel totally different, like you have floorboards, I was actually surprised by this. I'd bet it would have the same effect on a FJR.

I use the Wild Bill setup because it lets me open my knee a bit. This arrangement does very little, if anything, for that.

+1 and using the highway pegs by themselves wouldn't work because the shifter and break pedal look like they might be in the way.

 
But that's the thing. . . it's not an alternate position. You bring your foot forward 3 inches and it's supported on both ends. Oooh. Ahhh. It's not a different peg position, it's a floorboard simulator. Your knees are still folded tight, so no relief. I don't see the point. It might even add ankle tension to the riding position.
