My 4 yr old Sy-Max has been great. Closed it today and heard a pop with lots of air coming through left side. Turns out left top hinge screw had worked its way out. Suggest y'all check/tighten these upper hinge screws (one on each side of flip). They're under a plastic cover on mine. There's also a lower hinge screw on each side of flip but it appears that needs only to be snug or lift mechanism gets very tight. FWIW.
