I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed the last 3 days of riding here in southern Indiana. I went south out of Indy and into Nashville, IN and met up with 2 guys on Suzuki SV1000s who allowed me to chase them about the small twisty loop known to most sport bikers in this area. To their surprise the FJR performed much better than they had anticipated. Don't get me wrong I think they could have left me in the dust if they had tried to but thats not what we were about this day. Just out ripping corners and easing up in the straights. I led for a bit and they commented at the next stop that they were sure my bags were going to touch the pavement but I assured them other hard parts drag first. I didn't drag anything all day but they also made note of the 1/16 wide chicken strips on my avon rear. Twards the end of the day I met another 2006 FJR owner at the Shell station just south of Martinsville.

Saturday I went out to scout some new territory on a bigger loop and got lost. Never did finish that loop but did find some terrific new twisties. I ended up finding where I was when the road ended at the Naval Weapons Support Center on 158. Took me a bit to find the little back country ain't never heard of a sign road that cut north to 58 but once found it was smooth sailing to twist my way back home.

Just this morning I made a quick run to Cincinnati, OH to pick up the stuff we left at the inlaws on Thanksgiving. Had a good time playing in traffic getting out of Indy but the rest of the trip was a bit boring.

As long as it stays above freezing I'm just gonna keep on riding.

Nate
