Anyone going this Sunday (9:30 AM to 4:00 PM) to Holly, Michigan? It's supposed to be a whole town sponsored bike festival, with all makes welcome, and vintage rides as well. Worth a look! B)

like the blessing of the bikes in baldwin comming up this monththe 21 i think i saw three fjrs there in 04.

I'm planning on going up to Holly. See you guys there. I usually get there around 11:00.

Holly has two rides each year. The first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in October. Holly picked up the "Suzy's" ride that everyone used to go to at Suzy Greenway's farm in Stockbridge, Mi. Suzy retired from having the ride several years ago and Holly picked it up. Very eclectic bunch of bikes if you have never gone before. Lot's of odd bikes always show up. Not the typical Harley crowd at all. Pretty much all types of bikes. Suzy used to have a soft spot for British bikes so that sort of set the stage for a lot of non-Harley machinery to show up.

I'll do my best to get there but on such short notice, this sunday it's doubtfull. To bad it wasn't advertised :angry2: as several bike gatherings are happening around here as of late.

Three advertised on the radio I heard of just today. Two in the Flint area and one near Lansing. Blessing of the bikers on sunday 10 miles west of me, kinda plannned on this one with a coupla other guys

Might just be able to bitch enough that the S O might be happy to lose me for a whole day

Today's Holly, Michigan bike rally went off quite nicely.

While the event was not promoted heavily, there were still several hundred bikes on display in a 2 block area of downtown. There was a club gathering of vintage Japanese bikes, old Triumphs, Nortons, some European iron, and of course, the requisite Harley contingency.

FJR's in attendance were 2-'05, an '04, and Al's (Jestal) extremely well farkled '03. We had a good gathering of people checking out the FJR's, and Jestal's in particular, drew a ton of questions in regard to his beautifully integrated electronic and mechanical farkles. :dribble:

All we needed was an '06 to complete the lineup.

I believe the event will be repeated at the end of summer. We will post it as we get closer to the date.
