9 hours on the road and I'm home from WFO5. bike is moderately clean - grass has been cut (discovered daughter had a party while we were gone) and I'm ready for one more cigar and a cold one.

First of all - thanks to Dale and staff for all the hard work.

My big problem is that I'm just dead tired.

Haven't been able to get one second of sleep since the man-boob constest. The sight of Warchild getting his chromed dome - mammary waxed may cause me to pluck BOTH eyes out. Guess I'll just have to swill down a bottle of tequila and hope it will erase the last 24 hours worth of memories as the mind's eye is a little more difficult to pluck.

Had fun -

Back to work on Monday.

Nice meeting many of you folks

I'll second most all that. Except yard still needs cuttin and the daughter didn't have a party. Son beat here to it a few years ago.

Got back safe and sound to Rancho Cucamonga CA. about 6.5 hours and it was way COOLER in temperature than the ride up last week. The WFO was so much fun with lots of BSing and WAR STORIES with old and new friends that I think I will give it a try next year, location TBD of course!

Mucho Gracias to all the STAFF that put it together and all of us that came for it. We all came out WINNERS, IMHO. Special CONGRATS to our newly born Iron Butters.

Sincerely,

TurboDave

It seems the WFO's get better and better. Rekindling old friendships and enjoying the new. Finally being able to place a name with a face and then enjoying the time (and hopefully everyone enjoyed the rides...at least they said they did).

Thanks, organizers, you "out did" yourselves once again. You sure keep raising the bar for next year.

I enjoyed my first WFO and was glad to meet old friends and meet new ones as well. I'll add my thanks to the folks that made this all possible.

What a freakin' GREAT time. Thanks to all the folks who made this possible. WC - you rock. Your crew ain't bad either. My first WFO, not the last.. Hell, watching FjrChick on the 3rd Too-Kill-Ya round was priceless...

I had THE most outstanding time!! (minus those tequila shots!) So thrilled to meet everyone that I did and wished I had time to meet a few more. Thank you to Warchild and all who helped. Next year won't come soon enough!

Someone needs to post a pic of fjrchik trying to slam down her third shot of tequila (and I know someone must have it, 'cuz the entire "incident" was caught on camera!)

Ho, jeeze.... watching fjrchik pounding down her third shot was a frickin' RIOT!!!

Ditto - ditto - ditto :clapping: Also like to nominate Dale as "MC of the year" (great job Dale) and a big thanks to (???) for the free hats -- MamaYama?

I got in around 1am this morning. It was downright chilly during the late hours up this way.

A great time was had by all, kudus to all the organizers.

Yep... at the Grand Finale Banquet on Saturday evening, Yamaha USA presented each WFO-5 attendee with the latest version of the Yamaha FJR hat:

Just checking in ! Took us 4 1/2 hours to get home with a break ! :D

Had a great time, shootin the breeze in the parking lot ! We were about the only ones that had brought chairs and just about 1/2 of the WFO'ers came along and sat down and BS'd for a while in those four chairs sometime during the weekend! Even all the LD heavyweights used them, shoulda charged them boys ! B)

Mike - H and Penny from Canada visited with us in Santa Cruz for a couple of days, got themselves a new rear tire installed and off down " The One " they went today, headed south across the states to Ontario.

<insert jealous envy smiley here >

Dave, had a great time BSing with you and others in your chairs. It was a very relaxing time for us to get some extra rest and relaxation. Hope to see you soon and ride with you and the Northern Gang before WFO 6. Thanks for all.

Got home to Portland last night about 8 PM after making a two day ride of it - the scenic way.

Wish I could say it was uneventful, but Sunday night in Eureka, FJR&R and I were parking our bikes in the hotel parking lot when a drunk bicyclist literally rode into the front of FJR&R while he was stopped. Weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. Cracked the fairing up front, broke a mirror, shoved the headlights back about an inch and left a good swipe of 35 year old drunk sweathog swiped across the front. As of 11 AM and an early morning run up to Seth this morning, his bike sits at Sunnyside, awaiting first aid...

Lots more to the story, he'll post later on.

Thanks for a great time in Reno. For those that I met, it was a pleasure. See you next year!

Sorry to hear about FJR&R's misadventure in Eureka. Boy, you guys probably came close to pummeling him about the head and neck a bit. Is he going to make good on the damage?

Glad it didn't strand you on the road and no one was hurt. Except a bit of hurt on the dipshit might have been nice.

Nice to see you both on the Lassen Park road and hope we can get a ride together soon.

Picture transient without dime to his name and showered last sometime in 1996. That's the guy that rode his bike head-on into FJR&R's bike. There will be no collectin' from that guy.
