For all you home theater nuts, I have gotten the bug and am about to finish up my 2 month project of converting my previously unfinished basement into a media/game room. I just now finished running HDMI, S-Video, Component Video, RCA video, and SVGA cable from my home theater set up, through the walls, and to the projector's anticipated installation location (roughly 25 foot run).

Now I am looking for a decent plate that I can put in the ceiling that accommodates all of the above. Anyone out there know where I can get a plate like that?

On the wall side, I am using a Home Theater connection center that has all of the above plus Cable, Sat, Aux, 2 data ports, 2 phone ports and 9 channel audio including FR, FL, F Center, R side, L side, R rear, L rear, L center and sub woofer (and I only currently have a 5.1 system). I am installing all the wiring before I have the sheet rock guy come in next week.

If I can ever afford to buy the projector, I'm going to have a really cool set up! The projector I have my eye on is in the 5K range, but I'll likely start out with a 720p for around 1K. When it's installed, I'll have a 9' x 6' viewing area. Not too shabby.

The Phoenix Gold audio connections/wall plates are the ****! Tight connections, easy install, quality stuff. I haven't searched for your specific application, but did something similair with great results. Their wall plate inserts will work with any Levitron wall plate (found at your local Home Depot). Levitron also makes some product, just not sure if you'll get what you want.

Try here.

Another brand that I trusted for wire (but see they make wall plates) is liberty. They make supplies for military and commercial contracts but also make some fine home user products that you have to buy through a secondary vendor.

Try here.

Wireless won't currently support the applications and data I am streaming (HD video from computer network to entertainment area).

The last link you provided world has what I'm looking for and has a few extras. This is it here:

But holy cow is it expensive!!! $232

But, I just now found something that has everything except the SVGA plug, which I can get separately since that isn't currently an essential component for my set up. It's from Home Theater Custom Cables for only $75:

You know what I just heard, right?!? Movie night at Pony's house!!!

Can we do Super Troopers the first night? Oh wait, Reno 911, the movie, is up soon in my netflix cue!

Seriously though, I'd love to check it out. I'm a huge audiophile (not so much on the video), and would be willing to help in EQing, etc, especially for music.

Ponyfool: Have you tried Hubbell connectors? When you are done you will have a movie theatre and some very good sounds.

So when we pass through your town or city do we get to do a movie with free admission if we are on our FJR?? Kind of like the old drive in theatres. Drive in watch the movie than drive out, what do ya say???
