I don't think I'll ever have one, but I think there is going to be a market for an automatic. And, that bike looks pretty sweet. Now, I just have to figure out how to keep my wife from seeing that thing. She'll want one.

Looks like all they did was take a cruiser and give it a sport bike-type fairing job.

But I think it looks good. No purple though.

Ive been riding honda quads (2000 Rubicon and now 2006 Rubicon) they use the transmission described in the article. I can say from experiance its light years ahead of what Yamaha has ever done. The Automatic mode is smooth as silk since there really are no actual gears shifting. When its set to manual, it uses an electrinic shift on the handle bar, button up, button down to zip through the "Simulated Gears" In manual there are still no actual gears, a CPU tels the Tranny to act like its shifting gears but actualy swash plates and oil pressures make the magic happen. Is very hard to explain but very cool. I've been loyal to Honda because of this tranny. I could possibly be lead astray from my fjr if this tranny makes it into production.

I was thinking, as I read, "hydraulic? gonna make some serious heat" till I got to the lockup part. Thats how they're gonna beat the heat bill.

I wonder if that's a V4. Sure looks like one. If it weren't for the automagic it could be the 2009 replacement for the VFR? Maybe it will be offered in an auto and full manual configuration? Who would have thought...?

As TWN has been stating for months. . . .
Years, actually.
Well, I haven't been listening to you for years :yahoo: so I wouldn't know.

"Developed from" 680cc twin according to some Googling I did.

Oops, wrong smiley. What I meant to say was that I haven't had the opportunity to absorb your wisdom and take advantage of your greater experience. Yeah, that's what I meant. :graduated:

Wow, I've never seen such ass-kissing. Do you need to borrow some chap-stick?
