geez $300 FOR A ZUMO 660...

I worry a bit about the 350/390 - I have it multiplexed with my radar detector through a bluetooth transmitter and it would sort of suck to have to plug/unplug the audio out jack from the unit every time i took it off. Not sure how weather resistant that would be either. The 590 doesnt have that issue, but its way too pricy so far.

What's GPS?
It's an annoying system that routes the rider to the most congested route.

In the worst known cases, a female voice harasses the rider, continuously informing the rider that she is recalculating.

It is reported that especially dull witted people cannot find their way to well known landmarks unless they have GPS available. This is a serious problem for people under the age of 35, but can also afflict older riders if they're not careful.

Or those of us just need to have gadgets

From Wikipedia:

A gadget is a small[1] tool such as a machine that has a particular function, but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are sometimes referred to as gizmos.

Gizmos in particular are a bit different than gadgets. Gadgets in particular are small tools powered by electronic principles (a circuit board).

If you can get a 665 for almost the same price, how is the 390 a better deal? No MP3 player, no satellite radio, although it may recalculate faster???

I think that they are great! Besides plotting routes, they are good for riding all day and getting lost, then selecting "home" to find your way back.

A person like me can't keep up with all the Garmin model numbers. 590 and 390 are their top two models at the present time? Anyone have experience with tire pressure monitors with success?
