Well, I fired off a '******'-A!, WTF is this?!' email to Colin after toecutter let us know that Expedia had rooms at 99/nite. After several checks, E-rate sites show no availability and there are only a few rooms left at 149/night on the concierge level.

PUSH, PUSH, PUSH, these rooms, boys and girls! Let's sell this sucker out!

Curious to hear what (if anything) our boy Colin has to say about this.... it'll likely be some greasy used car salesman-speak... :glare:

Elevating him to used car salesman would be kind. Louisiana politician is more like it... Basically, he spun it into; he's a hero and made sure it was fixed quick for us. Gee, thanks, Mr. Kent.

Not only that, but I checked back when the venue was announced and seem to recall they were $89 or even $79/night. If we reserve all the rooms, we should be getting the best rate available. Not sure how Expedia works, but I think they buy blocks ahead of time and guarantee payment. We *should* be able to do the same.

What's our current rate? I'd imagine it's gonna be hard to renegotiate after the contract is signed.

99. I wish you had saved that info... I checked several e-rates and found none below 139 when I first started. I doubt that Expedia buys blocks... too much risk. More likely some kinda rebate deal with the majors...
