During acceleration through 125mph the front end lost contact w/ the road momentarily.

Hey Motorgod.... can you get me one of those

" get out of jail free" cards ? B)

Hey Rad....what's with the picky of the girlfriend as your avatar  ....won't the betterhalf get jealous

I have the definitive answer on how fast an FJR1300 will go.

An FJR1300 will not go over the speed limit. (period).

Try explaining to the officer that pulled you over that it is not technically possible to drive above the limit of speed, as that is the definition of how fast anything will go -- nothing goes faster than it's own limit of speed ---

hense -- officer, I could not technically be breaking the speed limit, it's just not technically possible.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Let us know how that works out for you...

Minnesota had it's Flood Run today. I was hoping to put an FJR over the top, and beat that RC51 that hit 201 at the last one. Alas, the yard (and the SO) beckoned. Maybe next year....

Imagine this. My Speed Triple has a log of top speed. Get pulled over and be asked to push the recall button ---- oops --- 145 mph. Err ocifer that was at the track day I attended a few days ago. Yea right.

Not sure if the 06 has this idiotic feature. Hope not!

motogod nice photo is that you sitting there . as for the 155mph. i just dont have the balls to go over 110 m.p.h.

2 things.

1. Nice to see everyone documenting their rides in case some legal beagle needs to do some internet research related to how we ride (wrecks, tickets, etc.).

2. Heard a lawyer detail that the state of Tx does NOT have a "speed limit" in it's codes. What the signs indicate are arbitrary and not codified. He has gotten people off (jury trials) on speeding tickets by explaining that "reasonable and prudent" *is* the law and that you can be ticketed for excessive speed (unreasonable and imprudent) when going under the posted limit when conditions warrant (snow/ice/fog, etc.). At the same time you might be going above the posted (i can't remember the term now) speed and still be safe (reasonable and prudent) and people do it all the time without being ticketed (flow of traffic).

COOL!

--update--

someone mentioned that they think the term that the lawyer used was "prima facie".

 When I got my first speeding ticket my Dad said "Your speed is inversly related to your IQ" Does that mean my IQ is "-12"?

Baaaa humbug!!!!! :p

That would be some great research - based on internet rumor.

Prima facie?

Wow. Your speed is good for a noob.

I'm doing internet research and need to ask you about this indicated speed aproaching the speed of light. Did you experience any time dialation effect and if so how much?

After all a picture of your GPS and your assertion that it is true makes it legal evidence , right? <_<

You guys really should be careful with this - remember - it wasn't until humans developed Warp drive that the Vulcans took notice - :dribble:

Definitively that is the fastest flogger on the planet, maybe in the universe. How did you get your FJR to go that fast? The acceleration and deceleration must have been in the zillion G range not to have up set the average up too much. Did it transmogrify. How were the farkles when it got back?

Talk about woooosh!
