Just curious how many FJR owners out there are also aircraft pilots? I own and fly a Piper Cherokee Arrow...also have flown helicopters and sailplanes.

Thanks

AJ

I had an orgasm once........................

but I was by myself.

Oh, wrong subject. I got my pilot's license when I was 17 years old. That was a long time ago, and I haven't done much flying in a long time. Course, if you want to take me up.......................(insert gay-ass'd winky smiley here)

And all this time I thought I was a pilot because:

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,--and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung

High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,

I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung

My eager craft through footless falls of air...

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue

I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace

Where never lark, nor eer eagle flew--

And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod

The high, untrespassed sanctity of space,

Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

Oh my God, I am gay!...I'll have to break the news to my wife

I do not know what kind it was but I flew really really high back in 68, it was a really good trip

and I never lef the farm :D  weekend rider

Put me on the pilot list. CFI in about every thing fixed wing including sailplanes since 1975 (I was 18 then..really!). I have owned a slug of planes mostly because I had an FBO operation in the early 90's. I lost a lot of money!

I haven't flown as a pilot for about six years now. The major reason I quit flying is I got burned out on it. Too little pay & too many long hours.

As I rode into a beautiful sunset over the Cascade mountains this evening on my FZ1 I got to thinking how motocycle riding has really taken over for me where flying left off. I simply love to ride!

I may have hung up my flying goggles for good! <_<

License in 1980, Cesna 152/Piper Warrior. Flew an H-3, CH-53E and a CH-46 while on an air/ground exchange tour. Haven't flown in years - family and have other things to do with extra $$ - FJR is one!

BTW, flying the 46 was a ball!

Machmann flies really big planes...DC-10's IIRC.
Flew a Bonanza B35V for a while, then upgraded to a Pipe Aerostar 602/Machen Superstar I, that plane cost me a freaking fortune to fly!!!!.........that was 20 yrs ago, NO MAS! Now I fly a FJR....

I guess I could get my Pilots license back easy enough, just need to find a Doc who'd stick his finger up my arse.........but have no desire, too much Gov regualtion now.....If I wanted to Gov to know what color underwear I wore, I'd send em a pair.

C152, 172, 177 cardinal, and a little time in a C182. Also fly powered parachutes, what a hoot!! I fly out of 4R7.
