I decided to ride the feej to work today in spite of the 14*F.
Yep, there was a slight chill in the air when I rode in to work and it was 55 degrees. At least the sun was shining when riding to lunch today - it made the 70 degrees a little more tolerable. :p
Go ahead and rub it in now, but be sure to post again this August about your nice WARM temperatures. What's that you say? It'll actually be scorching hot in August? Too bad because I'll have nice 70 degree weather to ride in during August! :yahoo:
It's not the heat, it's the... aw hell you're right. It's hot. Damned hot... and we will complain about it, between rides. You've got to admit there's something to be said for riding year-long. :rockwoot:

You're right - it's hot in August. I wonder if my boss will let me take 6 weeks off and ride around the Rocky Mountains?

Funny. I have no idea what that is like. It was 93 here yesterday in west Texas. But then again the overnight low a few nights ago was 18. We got your temp extremes here, but thankfully none of that white slick crap.

I see a new mod in the FJR's future!

Sounds like me a few weeks ago. We had a couple of sudden nice weather days after a long cold stretch with constent snow cover. The roads were clear and it had just rained away the salt the day before. I knew it was supposed to be nice that day so I decided to ride to work. Great idea except for the fact that my drive wich is about 50ft. long is made of dirt and lime stone. As soon as both wheels hit the drive the bike came to sudden hault. See ya have to understand riding to work was a last minute decision and I damn sure dont have time for this.....Shiiiiiiiiiit . Ok bikes still running, climb off, try and keep your balance in the slippery mud, put the bike in gear try to get back into the shed onto solid ground. Now I'm committed I'm riding to work. So I just happen to have two nice sheets of cabinet grade 5/8's plywood setting there so i figure what the hell. Put them down and that gave me enough to get over the small hump in my drive and it's all down hill from there. Tires were muddy,I was exausted, but hey it was the middle of february in Indiana and I was riding. How could it be better! Bad news is it cost me a bunch of money for that plywood.

This is a mean and hurtful thread. Rule 2 needs to be expanded to protect us north-wingers from the south-wingers hate speech.

Man-up, cheesehead. In 3 months you'll be thankful it ain't 100 degrees and 98% humidity in The Great Boring North.

(edit: yeah, I know, Michigan ain't the home of cheeseheads. But living in Michigan is punishment enough.)

At least we have corners that dont come with stop or yield signs.
