It's pretty much the same, except for the heat shield.

Pop out those 2 screws, then use a 12mm socket and a wrench to secure the second bolt at the base of the tank. Just loosen the left bolt with the socket while you secure the right bolt with the wrench. It will then pivot.

You'll need to remove the T-Bar. I think they are 14 mm. The torque values are different when putting it back in on a GENII, but taking it out is the same.

Then you need to lift the tank slightly, and unplug the grey and black wires that go through the heat shield to the plugs on the tank.

I think there is 1 or 2 fasteners you need a phillips head to remove them and take the heat shield out. Take note of how it was positioned for when you put it back in.

After that, just prop the tank up, and your good to go. Make sure your prop is sturdy, I actually use a strap and secure it under the seat and to the mounting brackets on the front of the tank.

Although it's great to know how to remove the tank, you won't need to if you're just doing wiring work. There's plenty of room to work with just proping the front of the tank up. ;)

Cheers!
