I've been watching the news and it looks like you guys are going to get hit with a full on hurricane. Please take precautions and hunker down, or even better, take a trip to Upper Canada and visit some friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

P.S. Scott, if you chain the FJR to a tree and sit on it in a 100 mph wind and lean back and forth, you will:

A: mimick your usual drive to work

B: get a speeding ticket from the cop chained to the tree beside you

C: finally earn respect from your fellow FJR riders

D: get the best average mpg of any ride you've ever done

E: get a new white riding jacket with special long arms and get to visit a special sport touring training room with nice soft white walls and get to talk with experts in the field of sport touring about your obvious obsession.

Take care everyone, Mike

A whole lotta nothing....that's what we are getting right now. I'm on eastern Long Island and the sun is shining, not a lick of wind, 80F. The only result of the hurricane was a pretty violent, kicked up surf and rip currents. I think Nova Scotia may get something from this but it was a huge non event here.

Thanks for thinking of us, Mike! There are/were conflicting reports but, as Axe said, pretty much nothing here in southern NB. A bit of rain so far this morning and a very light breeze. Humidity has actually increased a little since last night.

Yes, Scott, Gypsy, & NSRider appear to be in for the brunt of it. Time will tell

From what I can tell with all the reporting on the weather channel and the news channels, this isn't even a hurricane at this point - force 1 is just a lot of rain and gusty winds.

Literally, a tempest in a teapot.

Bill already hit the southern end of the province and is moving north east. Lots of rain and the coastal areas will get the brunt. I am currently in Cape Breton waiting for my storm shift to start at 8:00 pm. Wish us luck.
