I was in the process of putting together a hydration system following this thread when a complete Skyway system came my way. So the unused and unaltered vacuum bottle and holder are no longer needed. Both are top-notch items, even if you don't use them for a hydration system.

My cost for both was $85. I'll make them yours for $75, shipped CONUS. PM if interested.

Looks like you did some nice work on some quality products. What else would the potential buyer need to do to make it a working system?

See the link in the first post. Modify the bottle cap and add a hose with bite valve and fastening method.

I made one up very quick and dirty. I just used a small pan (from the Dollar Store) and took the handle off, strapped the $10 Coleman jug in, and drilled a hole in the top and put a large grommet in the hole that the 1/4" clear plastic hose from Home Depot fit into tightly. You do NOT need a bite valve, in fact it makes it harder to use IMO. Think I'm going to make up a red one for the '14 before this summer gets much hotter, too. (One more thing--that tubing is cheap. Just replace it once in a while. Much better than trying to clean it.)

I took the bike to Roseville Yamaha for something once and took the side bags off, and the water bottle too, but left the pot mounted on the passenger footpeg. The tech asked the service manager, Zac, what it was. He told the kid "Oh, that guy's wife has a wooden leg. That's where she rests the stump when she rides." Freaked the kid out.
