Looks like the new software wants me to confirm my existence. Yes, I am still here. Perhaps to the consternation of some. Still have my 2014 FJR ES. Still the best bike that I’ve ever owned. Yet.

I did finally participate in the sale of my beloved ‘05 Bass Bote Blue Beauty, that was transferred to my son when I bought my red ‘14, after my son had his first daughter and decided he shouldn’t participate in road motorcycling for a while. Can’t blame him. I did the same when he was a tyke.

It was a fly and ride with an excited new owner from Tennessee and his lovely girlfriend. We had a couple of days riding together in Vermont before we sent them back home. Reports have been positive on both the ride home and after. Always good to know.

So, yeah, still here. Things do change, but somehow they still stay the same. I hope you are all doing well and getting the most out if your lives. Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Fred. Tell your son that he makes a very tasty IPA. Maybe I'll see you in Vermont next year.

Hey Greg! Long time no see…

Yeah, both Fred and his wife Katie have left Harpoon. The company is having problems and they both moved on to other, greener pastures.

Katie now works for the FDA in their milk program. She was an agricultural biologist in school, so this really was up her alley. So she works in a lab in Lebanon, NH and travels around to the non-coop farms to;collect samples and do testing.

Fred moved across the parking lot from Harpoon in Windsor to Vermont Farmstead Cheese company. Still a production job, similar to brewing, but much better hours, and he is now the manager of production, albeit a small outfit. They are both very happy with their new positions, and have maintained a positive relationship with Harpoon, though it seems to be a sinking ship. Brewing is a really tough business.

I’d love to see some folks come up next year for a summer outing. I know the hotels in Stowe would love to see us again. This virus thing has been tough on them, as it has been on us all. We just keep our heads down and hope for clearer skies ahead.

Good seeing both you and Greg are still kicking. I managed to get a couple of rides in this year, out to Ohio for Joe's get together and down to EOM. Here's hoping for a better 2022.

Things are always changing, usually for the better. I like cheese. I like a good IPA better, but I'll look for Farmstead cheese and give it a try. All the best to you and your family.
