If you believe the bottom of the hole is firm than the preferred method is to on the pegs since you have better control of the bike than sitting.

If you think the bottom is all crossed up logs and rocks than sitting down and using one foot as an outrigger should the bike get upset is advised.
What if it turns out different than you assume? Then what?

Make a video?
Or break out the swimming trunks.

Ya know, that didn't even look remotely like fun in any way, shape or form.

And the comment about no speed police??!?!?! When all you can do is a 3-second burst at a speed that wouldn't win you an 100-yard dash?

Mud is just not fun. Nope, nope, nope. (Except in places like that club in the movie Stripes.)

You're just a stick in the mud. :p

My only problem was that I lived up to my CBA number.

Nice off road riding video, Bill! Thanks for sharing this with us, much appreciated! Naturally, you don't ride dirt as well as Tucson Joe, Paolo and tu Papa Chuy Viejo do!!!
I'll go back and study my photos for riding tips from the above mentioned experts ....

This one was after Paolo tipped over and broke off the shifter ...

The Q-Tip wasn't the only one making the water crossings exciting ....

Thanks for the tips. I'll make sure I don't ride like that.

I don't think that even qualifies as a tip over? Looks like the brush suspended you off the ground (hover technique) and ride pixies provided an upright bike to continue with. Fall down...never happened. ;)

I really enjoy your enthusiasm and reports Bill.
