I recently had the local pro audio shop install the bracket and wiring for my XM radio and it is on and works fine except I have no way to control the volume? Can anyone help me with what I can do to get control of the sound with this hookup? I am running it through a Pro M 1 Autocom system. I also have my 8500 radar detector running through it and can't seem to hear it either? I was hoping that this was a way to get hooked up for some tunes and it isn't working? Hep me, hep me I been hypnotized.

Is there a Guru type on here who can send me in the direction I need to go to get this equipment working?

Thanks bros,

Flint

IIRC go to menu and you can change the output volume.
I have a Delphi Roady XT and it isn't loud enough. I found an old battery powered FM radio/Tape player in a bag of "stuff" and tuned the FM radio to receive the Roady, then wired from the transistor radio to the AUtocomm. This gives me enough boost in volume to hear it through my earplugs. I used velcro to attach the small radio to the top of my tankbag so I can adjust the volume easier.

Something like a Boostaroo might do the trick... I've got a Mixit2 that boosts the audio signal from my XM... although you can also raise and lower the signal on one of the submenus on the Roady2...

Flint,

I'm not sure about the audio output on the Delphi but I use something like this on my Sirius X-Act to control the volume through my Starcom unit. It really works great. The volume control itself is only about the size of a quarter and I velcro it between the clutch bracket and the grip.

The radio shack part # is 42-2559.

I think they are about $6.50 each if I remember correctly.
