As if life aint hard enough, I wanna go to the 07 Isle of Man TT 100th next June. I REALLY want to go but I have one or two small obstacles, namely money and health. I've had 9 heart attacks, 5 bypasses, am on SSI and I sleep 12 hours a day, sometimes. I;m not even sure I can fly but I know there is a non-stop from DFW to London and this would minimize my heart troubles. I'll have to get a passport, shots etc. but I was just curious if there is any interest. Its gonna be the show of a lifetime and I HAVE to do this. I wanted to see the Britten V1000, and I rode my FJR to Memphis from San Antonio and got to not only see it but actually fondle those blue exhausts as it was the last weekend and Memphis is not exactly a motorcycle mecca. Anyways, I'm going dammit :assassin: !!! Let the party begin !!!!!!!

Like the FJR..I takes a tickin' and keeps on lickin' !!!!

I went to the IOM in 2005. It was a very nice time. I would be glad to help out with suggestions etc...

If you have any specific questions drop me a line at [email protected]

Your biggest problem will be getting a ferry ticket. When I was there in 05 most of the good crossings were already SOLD OUT for 2007. Finding a place to stay will be your next issue as the place will be swarming. You won't believe it when you get there. There are no speed limits around the course (except in the towns and the cops are there with lasers). Bikes go by you at ridiculous speeds. What ever you do, NEVER GO COUNTER RACE. These guys pass ANYWHERE. They spend half of there time on the wrong side of the road...which is our side of the road but that's another whole issue. I rented a bike in downtown London and rode up to Heysham (sp?) where I crossed. There is ton's going on, all motorcycle related. Old cool bike rallies, races, stunt shows, laps of the island, exploring the center of the island and much, much more. Just don't expect to eat good food unless you like french fries. They eat the dang things for every meal. I even saw a french fry sandwich which in Manx speak is a "Chip Bap". (chip for fries, bap for sandwich).

I'd be happy to help out and or bore the snot out of you with tales of my trip to the "Isle".

Hope you get to go, they say that after '07 they may try to slow things down.

Good luck

You might want to PM Mike-H, as he's run in the TT race over there and might be able to give you some tips on the layout etc etc.

Thanks very much Gents ! DartnMartn I'll give you a shout in a few days ! I look forward to your tales !!!

I will NOT be on a bike though and that should make it a little easier I hope !
