From last week I enjoy this beauty. Totally different bike than FJR and I love it - especially in local curvy roads.

Congrats, great looking ride. It's got rave reviews everywhere, I was just concerned about the wind protection or lack of (guess I'm getting older!) .... in my younger days, I would never ride w a windshield thinking it was for puzzies!

And, they gave away one of these last year at the MOA Rally in ST.Paul. I actually got intoxicated enough that I was wondering that "if I won it, would I keep it or sell it?". Yeah, it was a brief lottery moment.

I have an R75/6 that checks my box for a light, small, bagless fun bike. But the RnineT sure is good looking.

Well - so far my experience:

Wonderful bike, very simple and "pure", with no electronics (except ABS - this is standard on all BMW bikes now) and with special "boxer engine character" with vibration and torque in low revs. Great handling with comfortable seat position (quite low), very wide handlebar (as stock) and with excellent brakes (Brembo). She is the best on curvy roads in mountains (uphills, downhills). Suspension is quite hard but with great feedback to steering. She is classical naked bike without any fairing however also in high speed (over 180 km/h) still OK - of course short term, nothing for highways or interstates) - thanks to good position of headlamp and cluster shape - doing good job with aerodynamic.

She does not have any storage space. Nothing. No space for tools, no space for Safety kit. So not for touring as of stock and to add on leather bags or tankbags is not good idea - does not looks good - my opinion. The bike is made for one person - this is first mods I did now, disassembled part of rear frame with passenger footrests and add aluminium tail cover instead of passenger seat.

After 900 km so far I can say that this is most "fun bike" I ever rode. I enjoy every kilometer, strange vibration from engine, nice "tractor" sound, bike is very light with low center of gravity. Gearbox is excellent, clutch and brakes work with one finger only.

On the other side - not practical bike at all, riding in the rain is very bad experience - all dirt and water from road is directly on you. Front light performance is bad (comparing to FJR). As I already mentioned, no storage space there.

But I really love it as additional "fun bike", specially in those tropical days what we have now (38 deg C) and I prefer it for short rides before FJR.

This will change with planned increased distance of destination and colder weather of course - than my FJR will win.
