Bob,

If that cylinder head is a ticker, it may be cheaper to find a good engine or a used cylinder head, rather than to repair the cylinder head that you have.  Yamaha was repairing tickers on an unwritten warrantee many moons ago, but I don't know if they would still do that, lately.  Still, never hurts to ask the regional Yamaha guys (NOT a dealer).

Hard to say from here, due to the low sound quality of YouTube.  I would check that you have a good Cam Chain Tensioner first, with either a blue dot or a green dot.  The old CCTs got weak after a while.  You should be able to see the green or blue dot on the CCT with a strong light and maybe an inspection mirror.  The old weak CCTs had NO dot.

How many km's on your '05? Not to say it isn't one, but tickers were more prevalent in US '03 & '04 years. Even then, there were not a lot of them. Like infrared suggested, I'd be looking at the CCT and a loose chain causing noise. Which side is the noise loudest?

Bob,

Hope that it does not need saying, but if the old CCT fails, the cam chain can skip.  If that happens, the engine will destroy itself in a heartbeat.  New CCTs are not expensive, for what they do.  The job is not difficult; you can find the procedure to replace the CCT here, and elsewhere.  You'll need some ZipTies.  I'd suggest that you replace the CCT gasket also, if you decide to take on the job.

The noise is a tik tik, and its mostly heard at 3000rpm.

Camchain noise is more like hrrr, i hear that also at idle but its not loud at the moment.

My bike is 2004, with 50k miles, no oil use. I will post a better video soon

What's the worst that could happen if it is a ticker?  Not that loud and doesn't impair performance.  If the engine wears out a bit prematurely, so what?  Is it using excessive oil?  Cheaper to continue to run it and replace the engine with a used one than it is to fix it.  Do the CCT, check valve clearance, wear earplugs and ignore the tick.

Cam chain noise due to a faulty cam chain tensioner is noticed mostly just off idle speed on a cold engine and on the right hand side of the motor.  Marbles rattling in a can more than a steady sound.  Don't wait for it to get bad, it might be too late.

That can be normal noise. If the tick sounds metallic like knives falling on a stainless steel table..

Concur to check the CCT first.

If doesn't resolve, drop the header and look at exhausts for oil patterns.
