I need help my fellow FJR buddies. After weeks of witnessing the symptoms and refusing to seek help I must now face reality and admit my problem.

I have vehicular confusion syndrom, or vcs.

* The moment I get on my bike my left arm reaches across my chest looking for a seatbelt to pull.

* When I get into my 4Runner I look for my helmet.

* The other day while riding the bike the outside air had some bad smells so I reached to the dash looking to turn off the outside air button.

* I was driving my 4runner and after making a turn my left thumb was probing the turn signal to cancel the turn lights.

* Sometimes when exit into a gas station on my bike I pull-up to a pump so it's on the left side... since that's the side where my 4Runner's fuel door is.

I need help. Really. I'm not making this up. Maybe it's the altitude here in Colorado. Maybe I work too much.

And your point is?

At least you're not mashing the floorboards looking for the clutch pedal...<BG>

Oh right.... you're 4Runner is an auto...<LOL>

PS...Don't feel alone... I drove my old RV from Ohio to Texas last summer... then for the next week I kept trying to shift the gears in my Jeep from the column instead of the console.... oh well.. it's just a figment of old age!

My buddy almost always drives his ZX14 because his truck gets such bad mileage.

He bought a Honda S2000, and we went for a ride. In the twisties he started leaning, I had to bust his chops.

Now that you mention it, I've been doing the same thing. Never occurred to me before.

I wear a helmet in the car.

It has less to do with what vehicle I'm in, and more to do with the other drivers.

Don't feel bad, you are not alone, I have VCS too.

I have jammed my finger on my left hand while in my car...trying to shoot my left arm out the window to "wave" at an oncoming bike.
