I was talking to a cousin of mine who has a speedfreak as a friend. This friend has lots of throwaway cash and has built (has had built I should say) a Busa and a Zx14 to RUN.

Supposedly a new Ninja is coming out that is a 1600cc and 300MPH! Stock.

I know there will be a new busa for '08. I have even heard that it is a I6. That sounds really stupid to me though because the bike is already pretty wide, so I am not sure I beleive it. I think if you what to go 6 it has to be a V, but you would be hard pressed to sell it for 12,000 witch I would think is there target price, so you never know. As far as 300 mph that would be 300 kmh. That is where it is limited to now and will continue to be. Plus how many horse would you need for 300mph? I would think it to be in the 450+++ range. The Zx "only" have 200 at the crank and by the way does 300 kmh

Japan has a self imposed 300 kph speed limit on motorcycles. And seeing as how Chris Carr just broke the world motorcycle speed record running 350.???? MPH in a streamliner out on the salt flats ( Clickie ), I find it hard to believe they could possibly put out a 300 mph stocker.

First of all they just came out with the zx14 and would not redesign it so fast after releasing it and second he must be talking KMH NOT MPH. 300 KMH equals 186 MPH which the 14 and Busa already do stock.

Actually that 300kph ceiling started in Europe. The govts. were threatening to limit hp and speed, so the bike manufacturers got together and called a truce and a 300kph limit. There's NO way a big man. like Kawi or Suzuki would break that, at least not stock. Although, the 14 will go somewhere in the neighborhood of 195 with the speed limiter taken off.
