Right now I have the ones shown here:

On my last FJR I had Heli risiers, IIRC, and they raised and turned the bars back 15 or 20 degrees--less of a lean and reach. That would be a better riding position for me.

The perfect solution is somebody with a Gen I has what I want and wants less of a sweep; we could trade. Since that won't happen, anybody have what I want who doesn't like them, or they're gathering dust on a shelf? Let me know if we can deal.

And if we CAN'T deal, I'd still like to know what you have and like that you can identify for me so I can go buy some new ones (shudder). If I HAVE to.

Gee, how long have we both been here ???

two sets of risers here...straight up riding position...no problem with the stock hoses...they are snug that way, but I've had my setup for almost a year now with no problem.

Gen I only ('03-'05)- so here are the Heli Risers I have and they can be found at lotsa suppliers at lotsa prices.

The D&D 10 degree pullback risers are only available from the small business manufacturer.

raise bars 1", move bars back 1", Handlebar width (outside tip to tip measurement) is increased 1/2" creating more leverage and comfort.

angle of handlebars is opened up by 10 degrees straightening and relaxing the wrists substantially, more than any other FJR1300 risers.

The bolts need to be pretty tight without stripping the aluminum threads and maybe a little drop of blue loctite is OK. Mine loosened up at first after a few hundred miles, but I carried a allen wrench in my tank bag just in case. Nothing dangerous, just a slight bit of slop that needed to be snugged up and when I got home, the two bolts that were slightly loose were backed out halfway and a tiny drop of blue loctite dripped on the bolt thread and tightened up again with no further problems.

Do note that they are pulled back 2.75", so the joke is it feels like steering the helm of my old Hobie Cat Catamaran sailboat using a tiller. But I like it this way very much as I can sit bolt upright with my feet on the Wild Bill Highway Pegs and can lean against my Nelson Rigg Weekender Seat Bag Luggage usually containing spare gear for differing temperatures on rides or tours, rain gear, camping stuff, etc.

How are the Heli risers working out for you? I have two sets on order. Just received a note from the vendor telling me they don't recommend 2 sets due to safety concerns. Has the locktite kept the bolts in place OK? Have you had any steering issues since installing them?
