Some of the best parts of SFO was standing around the parking lot talking about farkles and maintenance issues and I have benefitted in a major way from that.
Lotecredneck told me my windshield was not right. It was angled back severely and had about a 1.75 inch gap at the bottom in the full down position. I finally got it checked out and fixed. Turned out the dealers assembler had put the "w" bracket on backwards and upside down. It got corrected and I finally had a chance to get about 25 miles of interstate today and what a difference. The wind blast, backpressure, and buffeting are all greatly reduced. Much better!
fjrchik let me take her bike for a test spin in the parking lot to try out her Genmar risers. DON"T EVEN GO THERE! Ordered and installed a set. Piece of cake! Another major good change.
I wish had ... known the windshield was wrong and I wish I had the risers before I rode to Arkansas from Florida. What a difference those two things would have made in terms of simple creature comfort.
Thanks again to all!
