Yea, of course, they haven't solved the problem of needing a "PIN" to unlock the cell phone, right? Maybe in that case, just a label on the back saying "ICE: xxx-xxxx", if EMT's, etc, will start looking at/for cell phones.

I haven't enabled a PIN on my phone for about 4 years. Regarding putting something like that on the phone, it can't hurt.

We need passwords on phones(blackberrys) to get (work-related) email and work intranet sites. Part of the security profile that gets downloaded in order to get the keys.

Now, who do I pick as my I.C.E. contact?

Sheesh, if they called my Dad, he might have a heart attack! Talk about double trouble. My ex-wife? No, she's probably the culprit. My best friend? No, he's my attorney with full powers, will say pull the plug and pronounce me dead, even if I only have a broken leg. Then he'll clean me out. Hmmmmm? My brothers? No, they're worse than my attorney and are probably in cahoots with my exwife.

Any you guys want to volunteer to be my ICE?

Seriously, For those of us who just have "regular" cell phones it sounds like a great idea. I have one for occasional use, and take it riding now all the time.

Perhaps phone manufacturers will make certain contacts bypassable for emergencies, if they don't already. No pass code or pin number required? That makes good sense.

I like the concept and support the effort. Spread the word!
