Ignition by pass

Years ago there a great step by step to by pass the Gen 1 ignition when it **** the bed. If is hasn't happened, it will.  I had to do mine twice and another Gen 1 once.

Assuming that this could also happen on the newer models, is there a way to limp home even with the coded key?

I wouldn't assume. Have you seen or have there been discussions about significant failures of newer models?  I don't remember anything on the forum since the 2006-early 2009 bikes.
