Can someone please post thread of ignition switch removal. Dealership wants $200 for new switch and $115 labor to fix this. Don't see anywhere in shop manual how to remove this switch!

Nightshift,

I cannot find the TSB, I had a copy of it once. But it's pretty simple, the dealer handed me my recall switch to install.

(1) Remove bars, and take off the top triple.

(2) To get it off I think you need to clip one of the wire looms underneath that surround all the cables an brake lines from one of the controls (right side I think).

(3) Unplug the switch.

(4) If you have the switch recal kit, there are new 'security screws'. You do need to drill out the old ones to get the switch out.

Take the top to a work bench and have at it.

It's about a 1 and a half beer job.
