I have a shirt load of funds in my PayPal account that I want to use to purchase improved farkle mirrors.

Looking for a mail order OEM supplier that takes PayPal with decent prices; I expect to pay around $100 for the 2 mirrors including shipping.

TIA

from the bin-o-facts:

The mirrors you want are the older generation FZ-1 mirrors.

If you get a PayPal debit card you can pay anyone that accepts Mastercard from your PayPal account.

Or you could just transfer the funds into your personal checking or savings account and then spend from there? I always draw any money out of my Paypal account and then use that to pay my Visa bill (which is the easiest and safest way to buy stuff online).

On my account (personal), there's no fee hit if I spend it directly from the PayPal account like there is when doing a transfer.

Interstate Cycle Online sells OEM Yammy Parts at decent prices (but no free shipping like Ron Ayers) and they take PayPal online

I just ordered a set from Interstate. They had the best price that I found.

One question I have is..... do these mirrors "fold" in like the OEM ones?

Yep...they sure do.

Patriot- I'm not sure what kind of Paypal account I have, but I have the ability to have Paypal provide a unique, single-use credit card number that I can use for purchases. The amount I spend is then taken out of my Paypal account. I think it's called the Paypal Plug-In. Check their site closely to see if you can get this option. It's pretty cool.

Thanx Larry: I've had the personal and premier accounts and now see the "new" paypal plug in and can produce a single use cc that debits directly out of the paypal account and can be used anywhere and acts like a mastercard. Great stuff.

my order was over $200 total plus the same $15 shipping

www.ronayers.com

has them for $52.82 with free shipping in Feb '09 on orders > $100

just ordering the mirrors might be the way to go (I ordered a bunch of other stuff which were sold individually cheaper than ron ayers and added up in total came out cheaper even with free shipping)

Hope this helps folks here,

Oh oh. You're going to be a little upset when you get two left hand mirrors.

The part numbers are 5LV-26280-00-00 and 5LV-26290-00-00

I have a CalSci Medium windshield and it has "tabs" of plastic at the bottom sticking out both sides to 1/4" from the stock mirror stem. I has been reported the FZ1 mirrors won't totally fold all the way back parallel to the bike because they hit the lower edges of the CalSci windshield.

I can let you good folks know how it goes when I get the mirrors installed

I have a single car garage and it's tight in there

In fact, the bike is parked against the right side wall, since it leans left on the sidestand

Back a ways, I had both tires replaced at a local bike shop that fixes the police depts bikes

I jacked up the bike with my motorcycle jack from Sears (nice Christmas gift from a riding podna) and removed both wheels.

Brought the wheels in along with purchase metal right angle valve stems.

As luck would have it, they installed them pointing to the right (against the garage wall) since I did not specify. I've since

decided straight stems on the FJR are best with those big disks in the way.

Cheers,

Mike in Nawlins'
