in the ear earphone question

Does anyone know if the is an in the ear earphone with a microphone attachment for an intercom?

Are those propriatary systems? special plugs etc?

Not sure what you're connecting to, but several companies like Seido make a 3.5mm plug with a mike in it, and a 3.5mm socket to plug in standard headphones.

here's one I use on my palm Clicky.

Mounted in the chin bar, i can push to answer a call, or listen to MP3. Can plug in any standard 3.5mm earbuds.

Not sure specifically what you're plugging the mike into...
