Rode about an hour to Depere, WI to get some new gloves yesterday. Team Motorsports is a multiline dealer and has about the biggest selection of gear in this area. I noticed a BMW, Ducati, Victory, Indian dealer on my way there. On my way home I figured I'd check out the new Scout as I hadn't seen one in person yet. A salesman asked if I wanted a test ride almost immediately, I declined because I didn't want to waste his time. I had no intention of buying one I just wanted to oogle one. Without hesitation he pushed it out side and started it. Well you came all the way down here, might as well take a ride. It was to good an offer to pass up so after a little explanation of where the turn signals, brake, clutch were I was off. I was surprised how lite it felt for a 500+ lb bike. It was like a bicycle compared to the FJR. While it didn't have the warp drive pull we're all used to, it was a fun quick little bike. If I were allowed/able to buy a second bike it would be at or near the top of my list.

I want to see Indian use this platform as the basis for a sport(ier) bike or ADV bike or ST. I can't do cruisers. I also believe there is yet much untapped power potential from that engine.

I sat on one of them at a bike show in Timonium, MD in February. Neat little bike but not really my style.Told the salesman I'd like to see them do a Scout Sport with twin discs up front, 2 into 1 performance exhaust and some other enhancements. Not that I'd buy one but I think it would be cool.

I demo'd one at the same dealer in DePere last year at a demo event.

As it currently is, a nice bike for around town but wouldn't care to use it out on the highway or speeds north of say 55-60.

Like Big Sky, it seems Indian has more potential for that platform, time will tell.

At that same dealership they recently had a Ducati demo day and I rode the Scrambler-disappointing to me, maybe as I got on it after riding a Diavel??

That is interesting. I was expecting the Ducati Scrambler to be a lot more fun that the little Indian. Not that I am interested in buying either one for myself, but I thought I might tempt my wife with the Scrambler.

Either way - I'd be way more interested in an Indian sitting in my garage then a Harley....

I'll have to take a ride up that way to check them out... otherwise there is a dealer in Racine closer to me, would be nice to check them out

Get a chance to ride one, take it for a spin, only sure way to see if a bike is a hit or a miss for you.
