As India continues to ramp up its space program it continues to build new facilities to handle additional launches.

Not unlike the US and Russia, may times these facilities are named after significant figures from their history.

However, because of their large population, their list of historically-significant people is also larger. They don't have the luxury of naming entire facilities after one person. They've gone to a convention where they name structures and functions after people.

I don't know very many of them but I have heard one name that stuck with me: the Mahatma Gantry.

Is it inappropriate to talk about their great strides in aerospace? Their extensive list of historically significant people? Or is it that it's inappropriate for for a feather to praise a dot?

to keep this bike orientated, how about Maharley Gandhi..

yeah, it's obscure...go scratch yer heads

I told that joke to the help desk tech and now I've been put on hold since....like for two days now! Was it something I said?
