Dealer has ordered a new panel as the odo and mpg portions either don't work or do so only when it feels like it. After reviewing the amount of work the dealer must do , I am having second thoughts about having the work done. I can see scratches and and more trouble then I need. Your thoughts ?

Scratches are always a possibility, but with warranty work you're always covered. Do a walk around with the dealer and have him acknowledge the bike arrived without mars. If he delivers it back with mars, you're covered. Course, you could always strip as much of the panels off as you need to yourself to help minimize the potential of scratching...

Although mine has never completely failed, I have also had some issues with my speedometer. Every once in a while the needle gets stuck on zero. I can always tell when it is going to happen because when I turn the key on, instead of the needle going all the way around the guage and back like it should, it bounces. From there is sticks until I hit 10mph or so, then it hops up and starts working like normal. Between that and the mpg indicator problem, mine is getting replaced also. :glare:
