Had broken subframe.

Was only going to be apart for 2 days.

Which turned out to nearly 4 weeks.

Now I can't recall how the rear fender cowling riv-nuts attach the inner fender to the subframe or ??

In the pix below, #35. Does it attach to the subframe or to the black inner fender? My subframe has been 'boxed' in for strength, so I'm hoping the riv-nut goes elsewhere.

Duct tape. Lots of it.

#35 holds the plastic to the sub-frame. Installs from underneath. Needs to be little holes in the sub-frame.

Good luck.

+1 on the duct tape. Given Carver's driveway is a motorcross track add extra duct tape to the sub-frame to beef up the structural integrity.

I've switched to Gorilla tape because it is stronger and lasts longer in sunlight. :p

I found linking up the tupperware to the bottom of the subframe from back to front helped me. IIRC, there are several types of rivnuts in the whole process...you kinda have to count which is which and/or do it three times before it's right.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll drill and tap the aluminum plate then use button screws like what's used on dash panels. Just another thing....

PS

CarverTape not duct or Gorilla tape!
