Ins advice on wrecked cage

Last week I was T-boned in my Miata other party was cited. The ins co want's to total my car (which is fine, as it probably won't drive right again anyhow). Question I have is, I bought this car at the end of March and have put a little bit of money into it (ex. 2 days before the accident I spent $200 on re-registering the lojack). Has anyone been able to recoop these types of losses and how? :blink:

All depends on the Ins. company I think. I have allstate and a few years back when my wifes VW Cabriolet was destroyed, they re-imbursed us for anything we had done to the car within the last 6 months so long as we had the reciepts. Which worked out in out favor as we had just put $1k into a brand new top. Everything after that was just icing on the cake.

Hope your Ins, company will work with you and sorry about the accident. I know how much they can suck. So long as you came out of it without too much damage, then thats all that really matters.
