I'm stuck before I even got started I guess. I can see no way that the brackets can be installed on the right hand side without removing the lower fairing completely though the instructions that came with the brackets say from 06 through 08 you only need to remove the bottom fairing screw,I'm guessing that there's some sort of change to things starting in 09? Now the problem is how to remove the lower fairing; no instructions in the manual, don't feel like running across town to look at the manual or breakdown at the dealer, somewhere to go here for help? Thanks

It's been a couple years since I installed MCL brackets and pegs but I do not recall having to remove the whole side fairing as you say.

I think the trick was to loosen up or remove some of the fasteners. I think it was necessary to remove the swing out air flow piece to loosen or remove some of the fasteners. Hopefully someone with a better memory will come along soon. You may only be able to use an allen wrench iirc. crs these days.

It wasn't a problem on my 2010. I did have to remove the "Heat Control Panel" and my right slider to allow the panel to be pulled outward.

Thanks for the replies and the pics. Never looked into removing the heat control panel, I will try this next.

Problem taken care of, removing the heat control panel made all the difference in the world. Thanks
