By golly, looks like yer well on yer way Mike!!! I'm going to try and work things around an' attempt to attend.

However....

I question the wisdom of you folks allowing riff raff like Rob attendance.

I'm in!

Purchased my feejer last September and need some stuff addressed.

Going to Tech Day VII Owosso to start, but I have very limited time to spend there. So Tech Day Eden is very timely for me.

This gig is now officially bigger than the entire population of Eden!

To a few coming in that mentioned I-90... If you have some extra time, well worth it to avoid this bor-slab.

I'm local and would definitely like to stop by if there's room. I'm a FNG here, may or may not actually have any work to do on my Gen III, but I'm all for meeting folks and observing a bit of FJR wrenching. I don't have a ton of tools but am happy to bring what I've got as I'm nearby and don't have to pack anything else.

Holy population explosion Batman!

KJ may be right, we may have to update the town sign for this weekend. Anyway, I'm amazed at the response to this. What a crew we'll have, from veterans to FNG's! Lodging on-premises will be a factor but we'll work on that. We're two months out and I also know that some folks may drop out and/or others may hop on board, so we'll see how many we actually end up with.

If wifey is ok with me being away for 2 weekends in a row, I'd like to stop in also. One thing I'd be interested in is a valve check on my 2008 AE. Anyone have access to shims? Or am I being a bit selfish here in asking for help? Never been to a tech day. Maybe Comfort Inn will build a new hotel in your neighborhood to house the explosion of FJR Tech Nerds.

Just giving this thread a bump, as we get closer to June 7th.

For those still interested, let's talk about what you'd like to do to your bike. Besides the valve check mentioned by FJRPittsburgh, what else are folks looking to do? Looks like I will be picking up a tire changer and balancer (Harbor Fright), so anyone who wants to swap tires can do so. Yes, I know what I'm getting with the HF gear, but for as often as I'll use it, I think it will work fine for me. If you'd like to do tires, you can have the tires shipped direct to me if that makes it easier. I know some folks mentioned a desire to attend, even if they don't need any wrenching on their bike. That's totally cool with me. I just need to figure out what tools will be required, and who might be able to bring them. I know a couple of you have mentioned caging it and bringing stuff, but let's see what's needed.

Again, I have accommodations in the house for about eight, and there's the backyard for those who like the great outdoors. We have a cat, so if you're allergic, there is a couch in the basement, which is a cat-free zone. I believe Ray reserved a bed for Saturday night, so I technically have four more beds and three couches. Also, let me know if anyone is coming in Friday. For those who are just going to be here for the actual Saturday work, what time is a good time to get started? Again, that may depend more on the projects we need to complete.

Anyway, I wanted to get this going again to see who is still on board. What say ye?

I'd like to swap out my brake-lines for a steel braided set. ('05 w/ABS)

If time allows then TB synch, coolant flush, and greasing rear end splines, u-joints, etc .

Leaving Cleveland early Saturday and could be there by 8-9am, whatever works best.

I dont need to do anything to my bike, was just thinking this would be a nice ride to meet, and possibly help out, some other forum folks.

A nice way to put faces to the names :)

I was planning on leaving here Saturday Morning, (I'm about 5 hours away) doing whatever we do at these things(Never been), tenting it in your backyard, and riding home Sunday Morning.

I'm at about 90-95% certainty of making the trip, and have mentioned it to the activities coordinator with no ill effects.

I'm thinkin' I can bring some small things... service manual and some hand tools if need be.

Might have an interested friend or two... but one rides a Connie14... thoughts on non FJR guys? I haven't mentioned it yet... so no feelings would be hurt if it's outside the scope of this event, or if you just wanna keep the number reasonable.

This is gonna be fun :)

I'm in the same boat as BWV. I don't plan to do any work on my FJR. I can help others do the things that I know how to do, and I hope to learn some new things. I am particularly interested in watching some fork seals and/or bushings being replaced if anyone is planning to do that. Mine are original and I'll have 150k miles on them by June so I might want to replace them some day.

Holy smokes! 150K on bushings? Wow! Mine were shot at 30K. And I mean shot! Still have original seals at 76K, though.

I upgraded the springs back in, I think, 2007, and I changed the fork oil a few times over the years, but that's about all it has needed as far as I can tell.

Geezer, bring some bushings, seals and fork oil....... there be no Teflon left on those things. We'll git 'er done for you.

OK. I'll order up the stuff and bring it with me. I really wasn't planning on doing any work on my bike but I can't resist that offer. Thank you.

Save me a spot on the couch to crash. I can bring a few specialty tools like fork disassembly tools but am planning on riding the FJR so I am sort of limited on what I can bring.

I am pretty certain I'm in. Nothing big to do on my Gen III, but I'd at least like to meet some folks and hang out. If my backordered Canyon Cages are here in time then they can go on, the last date they gave me was May 30th so who knows. Also I haven't got the Eastern Beaver fuse panel wired in yet so that's a potential (easy) project. I wanted to run some loomed wires back up front at the same time for lights and such later on.

I don't have a ton for tools but I'm happy to bring what basics I've got if it'll come in handy - wrenches, sockets, etc, electrical crimpers / wiring / meter, small floor jack if needed, etc.

Bill I can put my trailer on the back of my bike if you wanted to bring more goodies.

Bed in a box, a bit of floor space...and an outlet! I'll even bring tools
