We've all seen those clips around, but not all at once with the stats. Going to scare the S/O a bit ad make me think harder about survival when I ride.

I vote educational site. I am just wondering if I should share it with the FZ gang.

Makes me wonder about my vented gear. I fell a year and a half ago at 60 mph, with minimal rash with textiles on... looks like vented Joe Rocket does not do much ...

Have to credit V2win for the site(thanks John). He posted it on my local HSTA yahoo site. Smitty

Motorcycle version of Red Asphalt, Highways of Agony, etc. I don't need that kind of shock therapy but thanks for the link. I think :glare:

The increase in the fatality ratio is pretty simple to explain. Safety of cars keeps increasing while being off a bike is being off a bike and so few people wear safety gear...blah....blah...blah...

Bottom line, do what you've always done: BE CAREFUL! Reminders like this one can only be healthy.

Yes these guys are on our side.

You should see some of the car accidents i have seen. last one a car tried to get out of the way of a bus that was cornering and drifted to the wrong side of the road and past.

The celica went under the bus and then bounced out.

brains everywhere.

Not pretty but it happens 40,000 times a year one way or another.

Be vigilant because your adversary, the frigging cager is there to kill you. make yourself as visible as possible. Riding with your high beams on in daylight in congested areas makes a heck of difference when that 80 year old is making a left turn in front of you. ride within your capabilities. go to track days learn the bike - go to MSF and learn how to improve your capabilities.

Wear the best gear you can get.

Ya know it all, just do it!!!!

It would be interesting to see accident causes in there. One they list for Seaside, Oregon was a guy who had a few drinks, hopped on his Triumph and met Mr. Guardrail. Those, we can all avoid. The ones we can't are where cages blast over the centerline, or cause a chain reaction accident that takes out m/c's that were unfortunate enough to be in the area.
