I was there today & I'll be back tomorrow with some buddies from the black mountain motorcycle club, great show.

Anyone attending ? I'll be there for the opener tomorrow (Friday) at noon. Riding the FJR and bringing the Wife. Could meet for snack or just a Hello while there or setup a great Arizona ride for Sat. or Sun. I'll be wearing A camo boony hat and black shirt that says "TON UP MOTORCYCLES" on back & "I Survived AZ In State 1K" with map on front. I'm not so hard to get along with in person...

You might never know by the flame on the "Other" FJR site. Sure was a lot of rhetoric etc about what happened on this site. And the language and hate for the Guru Master WC was overwhelming.
Sorry about the truth in a heated moment that I wish I hadn't posted, No flame on WC from me, He's actually not so bad after you talk some....

Pleasure meeting you today, SkooterG, looking forward to your healing & some good riding !

Looked low & lean, but they had it up on a platform & they didn't allow you to sit on it. Articulated swingarm was interesting. The bike overall seems a monster to work on but certainly a nice looking contender. Really had hoped to ride one as they had demos going but not for this bike, only a prototype since production hasn't started. Also couldn't get a weight from the guys ther - no one knows until production I was told a couple of times....

Decent show. It was worth the 45 mile drive (I took my 2 yr old boy with me) and the $6 (half price at local dealers).

I went to see the '07 FJR - the color is very nice, is dark and rich (not $$) but will likely show dirt and wear (just like my wife's Acura MDX which is a very similar color). The paint on the bags looked poor (flat) and did not really match the rest of the bike. Could be a pre-production issue.

The Kaw was also nice. No real relevations. Looked a little wider with the full body work. Clocks were ok. Exhaust can was ugly. Overall, very nice but didn't really stand out (for me) in terms of design, presentation.

The highlight of the show was seeing 8 of Jesse Rooke's bikes. Holy cow. Those are simply at the top of the custom motorcycle mountain!

I really enjoyed the show. It was good to see 5 or 6 other FJRs in the parking lot. Didn't really care for the '07 color. How about bright red?? I enjoyed the Rooke customs and the BUB streamliner was cool. I was hoping for a few more vendors. The vintage motocross exhibit was good. Here is a link to a couple hundred pix. The construction at the stadium was the stage setup for the Rolling Stones concert this wed.

I know Jesse Rooke from racing shifter karts with Him. We talked a bit and I sat on most of His bikes. Did you notice the awesome KTM 955 powered chop that weighs right at 300 ? He does some awesome work...

I would love to try one of his bikes. They don't look like they would be comfortable to ride at all. But I have a feeling looks are deceiving. I especially like the Dunlop bike. It has a raw, powerfull look.

At the very least that yellow arm sling your wearing in the avatar photo?
:nono:

As of Tuesday, the sling is off!!!

Still gots a ways to go though, and the doc gave a big "NO" to riding. :(
Docs told me to "NEVER" ride again. That was in 1980. They still tell me not to ride, but.....PM. <><

And not a bad price for a diesel at under $200,000 with 2 slide outs to ride the bikes right in and two slideouts (bedroom & livingroom), very nice inside...

I was there on Saturday but was a bit disapointed. This was my first motorcycle show and I was not impressed. I guess I thought there would have been more stuff there. Oh well, it was worth going to and experiencing but I enjoyed the ride from Sierra Vista to Phoenix and back much more. Any excuss to ride!
